Marriage Ceremonies

Marriage ceremonies are scheduled with the judge and may be performed at Douglas County District Court (100 19th Street NW, Suite C, East Wenatchee, WA) or an alternate location as agreed to by the judge. A wedding fee may be charged. Fees are determined by the judge and vary on the day, time, and location of the ceremony.

To request a marriage ceremony, a completed Wedding Reservation may be submitted by email to District Court or in person to the Douglas County District Court. Requests can also be made by phone, 509.884.3536. A judge will respond, usually within one business day.

A valid marriage license is required. A license may be obtained from the Douglas County Auditor’s Office or by calling 509.888.6404. There is a three (3) day waiting period after you obtain the license before the ceremony may be performed.

The marriage license and fee (payable in cash only) must be delivered to the Douglas County District Court at least one (1) prior day to the ceremony.

Two (2) witnesses are required and must be provided by the wedding party. During this time of Covid restrictions, other guests may be limited and must be pre-approved.
