COVID-19 Safety Measures

Effective March 19, 2020, per the Douglas County Board of Commissioners Resolution No. CE 20-16, the Douglas County Treasurer office is closed to the public.  There has been no discontinuation of services.  Tax payments can be made with check, money order, credit card, debit card, or echeck (no cash payments at this time).  Please mail your tax and assessment payments to Douglas County Treasurer, P.O. Box 609, Waterville, WA.  For credit and debit card or echeck payments, please phone Point & Pay at (866) 898-2916 (fee applies).  For online payments by credit or debit card or echeck, click the Parcel Search link at left to pay with Point & Pay (fee applies).  You may also obtain tax information through Parcel Search.  Please check back with our website often for updates to our COVID-19 response.  Your safety and the safety of our employees is important.  Thank you for your cooperation during this difficult time.

 

About the Treasurer

The Treasurer acts as the County bank. The Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, investment, and disbursement of all funds collected. These include property taxes, real estate excise taxes, state and federal apportionments, and revenue collected by all districts within the county.

In addition, the Douglas County Treasurer is contracted by five irrigation districts within the County as well as the Greater East Wenatchee Storm Water Utility to bill and collect their assessments.  Click the links at left for more information on Irrigation and Storm Water Utility assessments.

The Treasurer is also responsible for foreclosing, seizing, and selling property as a result of delinquent property taxes. These actions are authorized and mandated by state law.

The County Treasurer acts as agent for the Department of Revenue regarding the collection of Real Estate Excise Tax.  Please see the link at left titled “Real Estate Excise Tax Information” for details and assistance with filing and payment of the Real Estate Excise Tax.

Tax and special assessment payments can be mailed or paid in-person (cash or check only) at our office in Waterville, postmark by due date accepted.  Please make your check payable to Douglas County Treasurer.  For paperless statements and electronic payment options, please see below:

Your billing statements include information for obtaining paperless statements for future mailings from www.eNoticesOnline.com. On the upper-right of your statement is a unique authorization code required to create your account.  If you require assistance with your eNoticesOnline account, please contact help@eNoticesOnline.com.

Payments must be processed prior to 11:59 pm PST to be considered a same-day payment.  Payments are not processed in “real time”.  Please allow 2 – 3 business days for payments to post to your parcel(s).
