The Treasurer acts as the county bank. The Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, investment, and disbursement of all funds collected. These include property taxes, real estate excise taxes, state and federal apportionments, and revenue collected by all districts within the county.
In addition, the Treasurer is responsible for foreclosing, seizing, and selling property as a result of delinquent property taxes. These actions are authorized and mandated by state law.
Property tax statements are mailed to taxpayers in February. First half or full years taxes are due April 30th. Second half taxes are due October 31st. Tax payments can be mailed, paid at our office in Waterville, or paid by credit card by calling 1-877-751-6067. Payments can also me made online through our TaxSifter Parcel Search.

The mission of the Douglas County Treasurer’s Office is to provide the highest level of service to the citizens of Douglas County, and to fulfill the responsibilities mandated by the State of Washington.
