Douglas County is responsible for over 1640 miles of county roadway and adjacent right-of-way, through maintenance, preservation, design and construction. Unpaved miles includes 1207 miles of rural roadways
The Douglas County Transportation is comprised of Road Maintenance Operation, Engineering and Surveying Section, Development Review Section, Storm Water Utility Program, Utility Inspection program, Environmental and Road Log Data, Geographical Information Systems, and ER&R (Equipment Rental & Rates) program. All sections or programs are committed to our responsibility to provide safe, economical, and environmentally sound public road facilities and services
