Rocky Reach Trail
The Washington State Supreme Court, on August 18, 2011, entered a decision on an appeal of permits issued by Douglas County for the project known as the Rocky Reach Trail. The unanimous decision validated the actions taken by the county on the applications filed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
Douglas County’s role is limited to permit review for the project; the county is not the applicant for the trail, and does not have a role in the construction and maintenance of the trail. Questions regarding trail construction and schedule should be directed to:
