The Douglas County Board of Commissioners adopted amendments to the Douglas County Code section 18.16.220(D) Limited Land Segregation by Ordinance TLS 12-03-05B on February 7, 2012. The amendments to Section 18.16.220 (D) Limited Land Segregation maintain the minimum lot size to qualify in the Rural Resource 5 & 20 and Dryland Agriculture Zoning Districts with ten (10) acres or 1/64th of a Section in size or greater and reduces the minimum lot size to qualify to seven (7) acres in the Commercial Agriculture 5 & 10 Zoning Districts.

During the November 1, 2011 Public Meeting, the Board of Commissioners remanded draft amendments to DCC 18.16.220(D) Limited Land Segregation back to the Planning Commission to formulate a recommendation. The Board also directed the Planning Commission to re-hear draft amendments to DCC 18.16.220(E) Special Exception and formulate a recommendation.

PUBLIC NOTICE
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 36.70A RCW, notice is hereby given that on November 1, 2011 the Douglas County Board of Commissioners adopted the following:
- Ordinance TLS 11-06-33B – adopting amendments to Douglas County Code Section 18.16.180 Resource disclosure statement; Sections 18.27 R-REC Rural Recreation District, 18.28 RR-2 Rural Resource District, 18.30 RR-5 Rural Resource District, 18.31 RR-20 Rural Resource District, 18.32 RSC Rural Service Center District, 18.34 AC-5 Commercial Agriculture District, 18.36 AC-10 Commercial Agriculture District, and 18.40 A-D Dryland Agriculture District to remove the minimum floor area for residential structures and amendments to DCC 18.32 RSC Rural Service Center to remove the minimum width of a residential structure; and Section 18.60.060(K) that would allow a qualified engineer to evaluate the feasibility of placing industrial uses over an inert waste disposal site.
- Ordinance TLS 11-07-34 – adopting amendments of the Douglas County Capital Facility Plan coinciding with the adoption of the Douglas County Budget for 2012.
