PUBLIC NOTICE
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 36.70A RCW, notice is hereby given that on February 28, 2012 the Douglas County Board of Commissioners adopted the following:
- Ordinance TLS 12-04-06B – adopting amendments to Douglas County Code Chapter 18.60 General Industrial and Chapter 20.40 Landscaping.
- Ordinance TLS 12-04-07B – adopting the following amendments to the Countywide Comprehensive Plan:
- Designation of Pit 3 SW, approximately 13.85 acres, as a mineral resource site of long-term commercial significance. The property is located at the intersection of Road 3 SW and Badger Mountain Road;
- A comprehensive plan map amendment from Rural Resource 20 to Rural Resource 5, Rural Resource 20 to Commercial Agriculture 10, and Commercial Agriculture 10 to Rural Resource 5 of approximately 297 acres. The area is located within Section 23 of Township 30 Range 24.
- Ordinance TLS 12-05-08B – adopting amendments of the Greater East Wenatchee Comprehensive Plan as follows:
- Amendments to the Urban Growth Boundary map in Chapter 2 Urban Growth, the text and charts reflecting the results of the 2010 Census, update the population projections to the year 2030, and updates to the urban growth boundary capacity and needs analysis in Chapter 3 Land Use, utility provider maps and policies in Chapter 7 Utilities, and transportation policies in Chapter 8 Transportation.
- A comprehensive plan land use map amendment and zone change/urban growth boundary amendment of approximately 136 acres from Commercial Agriculture 10 and Rural Resource 20 to General Industrial and from Rural Service Center to General Commercial. The draft map amendments are located to the north, east, and west of the exiting East Wenatchee Urban Growth Boundary in the vicinity and immediately adjacent to Baker Flats. All draft expansion areas are located east of Highway 2/97. This amendment is to occur concurrently with the adopted amendments to the Countywide Plan.
- Ordinance TLS 12-06-08C – adopting amendments to the Countywide Comprehensive Plan:
- A comprehensive plan land use map amendment and zone change of approximately 482 acres from Commercial Agriculture 10 and Dryland Agriculture to General Industrial in order to expand the boundaries of the Pangborn Industrial Service Boundary to the north and east;
- A comprehensive plan land use map amendment and zone change of approximately 40 acres from Commercial Agriculture 10 to Rural Resource 20 and Rural Essential Public facilities. The amendments are proposed north and west of the East Wenatchee Urban Growth Boundary adjacent to SR 2/97 at Baker Flats. This amendment is to occur concurrently with the draft expansion to the East Wenatchee UGB.
- Amendments in Chapter 3 Land Use with respect to tables, text, and map changes for updated population projections and the expansion of the Pangborn Industrial Service Area, policies in Chapter 6 Transportation and Chapter 8 Utilities, and Appendix B Urban Growth Boundary Maps.
- Ordinance TLS 12-07-08D – A Planned action ordinance to expedite environmental and development review within the industrial zoning districts at Baker Flats and the Pangborn Industrial Service Boundary.
