Update Process
The 60 day review and comment period for the 2009 annual comprehensive plan amendment process has been completed. Comments may still be submitted on the draft amendments for consideration by the planning commission up to including the date of the public hearing. Members of the public and agency representatives are also encouraged to attend scheduled workshops and provide testimony at the hearings.

A joint workshop has been scheduled with the Douglas County Planning Commission and the City of East Wenatchee Planning Commission to discuss the status of the East Wenatchee Urban Growth Area update process; and discuss proposed revisions to the Greater East Wenatchee Area Comprehensive Plan and development regulations, in addition to a site specific comprehensive plan land use map amendment application. Immediately following the joint workshop, the Douglas County Planning Commission will hold a separate workshop to review proposed amendments to the Douglas County Countywide Comprehensive Plan and development regulations. The joint workshop begins at 5:30 P.M. at the City of East Wenatchee City Hall Council Chambers, located at 271 9th St. NE, East Wenatchee. The following workshop by the Douglas County Planning Commission is anticipated to begin at 7:15 P.M. at the same location, but may begin earlier if the joint workshop were to proceed ahead of schedule.
A public hearing has been scheduled for the Douglas County Planning Commission to make recommendations on draft amendments of the Douglas County Countywide Comprehensive Plan and development regulations. The hearing will begin at 6:30 P.M. on March 17th, 2010 located in the Douglas County Public Services Building hearing room at 140 19th St. NW, East Wenatchee. A joint public hearing has been scheduled for the City of East Wenatchee Planning Commission and Douglas County Planning Commission to make recommendations on draft amendments of the Greater East Wenatchee Area Plan and development regulations. The hearing will begin at 5:30 P.M. on March 24th, 2010 at the City of East Wenatchee City Hall Council Chambers, located at 271 9th St. NE, East Wenatchee. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners and City of East Wenatchee Council are tentatively scheduled to review the recommendations of the planning commissions in April 2010.
