NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Douglas County and the City of East Wenatchee intend to adopt amendments to EWMC Title 17 Zoning.  The proposed amendments will better implement the North End (Wenatchi Landing) Subarea Plan of the Greater East Wenatchee Area Comprehensive Plan.  Proposed amendments are to Chapter 17.34 Commercial Land Use Matrix, Chapter 17.42 General Commercial District, Chapter 17.46 Waterfront Mixed Use District and the creation of a new district “North End Wenatchi Landing Overlay.

The draft amendments were transmitted to the Washington State Department of Commerce on November 18, 2019 in accordance with RCW 36.70A.106.   


The 60-day comment period commences on November 18, 2019 and concludes on January 17, 2020

Proposed amendments will be considered at a public hearing to be determined.  PLEASE NOTE that pursuant to DCC 14.32.070 that the primary public hearing opportunity for these amendments shall be through City of East Wenatchee City Council and Planning Commission.
