The Board of Commissioners is proposing to amend the Douglas County Zoning Code to address circumstances where boundaries of nonconforming lots may be adjusted.  Nonconforming lots are lots that met the requirements for lot size and/or dimension at the time the lots were created.  Then, at some point the standards changed and the lots do not meet current size and dimension requirements.

Nonconforming lots can be lawfully used and further developed with guidelines of the zoning code.  The proposal, if approved, expands those guidelines to include the adjustment of boundaries of these lots.
