NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Douglas County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendments referenced below.  The hearing will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2019, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the hearing room at the Douglas County Public Services Building, 140 19th St. NW, East Wenatchee WA.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Douglas County intends to adopt amendments to the Douglas County Development Regulations.  The draft amendments were transmitted to the Washington State Department of Commerce on April 1, 2019 in accordance with RCW 36.70A.106.    

Title 14.98 – include new definitions for blockchain, cargo containers, cyptocurrency, data processing, and legal lot of record.

Title 17.34 Boundary line Adjustment – remove requirements that lots meet zoning standards in order to approve adjustment.

Title 18.16 Clustering of Existing Lots – replace specific date for lots to exist with a 5 year age.

Title 18.60 General Industrial – change data storage to data processing, include use of cargo containers for data processing as a prohibited use, add new standards for the use of cargo containers.

The 60-day comment period commences on April 1, 2019 and concludes on May 31, 2019.  Proposed amendments will be considered at a public hearing to be determined.
