The Douglas County Board of Commissioners adopted the following at the September 3, 2019 public meeting:

Ordinance TLS 19-16-41B – Adopting amendments to Douglas County Code Title 17 and 18. A proposal to modify the approval criteria for boundary line adjustments. The amendments also clarify adjustments between nonconforming lots.


NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Douglas County Board of Commissioners will hold a public meeting on proposed amendments to Douglas County Code modifying approval criteria for boundary line adjustments. This amendment will also clarify adjustments between nonconforming lots. The meeting will be held on September 3, 2019 at 9:00 AM in the Commissioners Chambers at the courthouse, 201 Rainer St, Waterville WA. Persons may also participate by audio visual link in the hearing room of the Douglas County Public Services Building, 140 19th St., NE East Wenatchee WA.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Douglas County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on amendments to Title 17 and 18 of the Douglas County Code. A proposal to modify the criteria for approval for boundary line adjustments. Proposal will also clarify the standards for adjusting boundaries between nonconforming lots. The hearing will be held on Wednesday August 14, 2019, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the hearing room at the Douglas County Public Services Building, 140 19th St. NW, East Wenatchee WA.

Ordinance TLS 19-13-34B – Adopting amendments to Douglas County Code Title 14.98. A proposal to codify an existing Legal Lot of Record policy definition. 

The Douglas county board of Commissioners adopted the following at the July 9, 2019 public hearing:

Ordinance TLS 19-11-31B –  Adopting amendments to East Wenatchee Municipal Code relating to wireless communications facilities in the Light Commercial (C-L) zoning district.

Ordinance TLS 19-12-31C –  Adopting amendments to Douglas County Code Title 14 and 18. Proposal to add definitions for cargo container, cryptocurrency, block chain technology, and data processing. Proposal to add standards for cryptocurrency and cargo containers in the General Industrial (I-G) zoning district. Proposed amendment to the clustering of existing lots code.

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Douglas County intends to adopt amendments to the Douglas County Development Regulations.  The draft amendments were transmitted to the Washington State Department of Commerce on April 1, 2019 in accordance with RCW 36.70A.106.    

Title 14.98 – include new definitions for blockchain, cargo containers, cyptocurrency, data processing, and legal lot of record.

Title 17.34 Boundary line Adjustment – remove requirements that lots meet zoning standards in order to approve adjustment.

Title 18.16 Clustering of Existing Lots – replace specific date for lots to exist with a 5 year age.

Title 18.60 General Industrial – change data storage to data processing, include use of cargo containers for data processing as a prohibited use, add new standards for the use of cargo containers.

The 60-day comment period commences on April 1, 2019 and concludes on May 31, 2019.  Proposed amendments will be considered at a public hearing to be determined.
