NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Douglas County intends to adopt amendments to the Countywide Comprehensive Plan, Greater East Wenatchee Area Comprehensive Plan, and Zoning Code.  CPRZ-2020-01 the 60 Day Review period is jointly sponsored with the City of East Wenatchee.  The draft amendments were transmitted to the Washington State Department of Commerce on October 19, 2020 in accordance with RCW 36.70A.106.   

AMENDMENTS:

  • Title 14 - Amend Definition of Essential Public Facilities
  • Title 15 - Amend Reference Datum for Flood Hazard Documents.
  • Title 17 - Amend Provisions for Model Homes.
  • Countywide Comprehensive Plan - New Section authorizing Lot Size Reductions for Existing Dwellings.
  • Title 18 - New Section for Lot Size Reductions for Existing Dwellings; New Section for Industrial Hemp Production.  Amend 18.16.170 Accessory Dwelling Units, 18.60 General Industrial District.
  • Capital Facilities Plan - 2020 updates to be adopted concurrent with the annual budget.
  • CPRZ-2020-01 - A comprehensive plan designation change/rezone of 1.35 acres from Residential Medium to Light Commercial.
 

The 60-day comment period commenced on October 19, 2020 and concludes on December 18, 2020.  Proposed amendments will be considered at a public hearing to be determined.
