BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS

MARCH 1, 2010

Board was present met at the Douglas County Public Services Building for work session on pending issues.  Met with Elliot Scull and representative from State Parks for update on funding request with WVTC to expand Apple Capital Loop Trail no action was taken by the board.  Certified county inventory from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009.

MARCH 2, 2010

Board was present held conference all with lobbyist received legislative update.  Held video conference with Administrator heard staff reports. Met with TLS staff approved the following items:  Resolution TLS 10-07A Notice of Public Hearing to Consider Amendments to ORD TLS 09-03-22D & TLS 09-04-24C set for March 16, 2010 at 10:00 am; Resolution TLS 10-08 Moratorium on Development Applications in Areas under Order of Hearings Board; Deed Dedication and Grant of Right of Way Easement with Pangborn Memorial Airport; RES TLS 10-09 Notice of Public Hearing to Consider Repealing DCC 12.45 and Establishing DCC 12.45 Road Assessment Reimbursement Areas for March 16, 2010 at 10:45 AM.  Heard staff reports.  Met with constituents working on development near Desert Canyon no action by Board, directed staff to continue to work with group.  Held bid opening for RES TLS 10-04 Class 3/8 Hot Mix Asphalt; RES TLS 10-05 Emulsified Asphalt; RES TLS 10-06 Dust Control bids will be awarded the following week once staff has reviewed and made recommendations. Sent letters to the City of East Wenatchee regarding the Spring Boat Races and response to Alan and Larry Witte.  Approved payroll; vouchers; RES CE 10-27 Repealing Emergency Declaration of Public Health Emergency in Regards to the 2009 H1N1 “Swine Flu” virus; NCW District Fair contracts; Recycling Commodities Agreement; Personnel; and budget allocation.
