2017 Comprehensive Plan Amendments

The Douglas County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on each of the applications for amendments to the Greater East Wenatchee Comprehensive Plan and corresponding zoning map.  The hearings will be a part of the November 8, 2017 meeting, which begins at 5:30 PM in the Hearing Room of the Douglas County Public Services Building, 140 19th Street NW, East Wenatchee.  Staff reports on these items may be reviewed by following the links below.


August 31, 2017

Douglas County has started a 60-day comment period for public review and comment on proposed amendments to the Greater East Wenatchee Area Comprehensive Plan and official zoning map. The comment period will begin August 31st, 2017 and end on October 31st, 2017. Douglas County has issued a Determination of Non-significance (DNS) through the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). Proposed amendments include:

  1. CPRZ-2017-01. D+D Investments Washington, LLC applied for a comprehensive plan designation change from Office High Residential to General Commercial, and a corresponding zoning reclassification from Office High Residential (R-H) to General Commercial (G-C). This proposal involves four parcels of land totaling approximately 5.6 acres in size and are addressed as 540, 542, 620, and 630 Rock Island Rd, East Wenatchee.

  2. CPRZ-2017-02. Cal-Neva, LLC and Rogelio Hernandez applied for a comprehensive plan designation change from Residential Medium Density to Office High Residential and a corresponding zoning reclassification from Residential Medium Density (R-M) to Office High Residential (R-H). The proposal involves four parcels of land totaling approximately 10 acres in size and are located at 2621 2nd St. SE, East Wenatchee.
